I ordered the calamari rings and chips!
Definitely tourist trap hospitality
I am writing this honest review so other people don’t waste their money
Very overpriced $21 for basic cheap quality food
Basic food can taste amazing if done correctly
The chips were not crispy and had this what looked to be paprika seasoning of some sort Which as a result overpowers the taste of the potato in the chips plus they were not cooked properly
And the Calamari had a very cheap and not fresh taste to it And was not cooked properly either
Not to mention how you have to pay extra for sauce Lol
And there were smelly bins near waiting area
Lids perhaps?

Overall a satisfying seafood feed after our run. Pleased to see the quality is up to standard with their main venue. Food is nicely presented for a takeaway style fish and chips.
We ordered :
The fried platter for one ($29)- a very generous serving and everything was cooked well. I found the batter for the prawns and fish to be a little oily and on the thick side, but my partner liked the crunchiness. This box is also half made up of calamari/octopus, all tasted great but would be even better if it had more variation. Does not come with tatare, has to be purchased separately.
The prawn roll ($12) - this was nice, fresh and well balanced although could’ve used a little more filling.
The sushi taco ($9.50) - recommend if you love sushi.
Would love to come back to try some grilled items.

The place is good with food and service and I’ve been here quite a few times, absolutely love it!
The only 2 things I’ve been wondering why 1) they don’t really have any grilled scallop options (those with shells and cheese) while many other fish and chips shops do. 2) Sunday surcharge for a take-away shop… however I understand it’s becoming a norm in Sydney …

Had the fish burger and the grilled seafood platter for one. Found the fish burger overly soggy with the slaw placed on the bottom slice of burger bread for fast too long. The slaw itself was tasteless and watery, burger was lacking a tangy sauce. The grilled platter was ok, but slightly overcooked and everything was all a bit tasteless. More

I had a really disappointing experience at The Boatshed. I paid $35 for a barramundi with chips, salad, and a drink, and it was absolutely not worth the price. The fish was small, slimy, and completely lacked flavour, even though the menu … More

Neatest burger I’ve ever eaten. Great food - really well built burger, great size, great flavours. Good chips - salty, crispy and a little chewy, fluffy on the inside - good one. Good coffee too - and I’m picky with coffee. More
